SHE DID NOT COME OUT OF A RIB

This sculpture is made of diverse materials such as; cotton, wire, clay, fabrics, latex and paper. It participated in the collective exhibition that the third-year students of Fine Arts of the Cardiff Metropolitan University of carried out, in the Campfa gallery in the same city. The theme is related to the role of women, the stigmatisation to which they are subjected, and all those prejudices that the society in which we live has instilled in us.
This work has many interpretations due to how it is presented, and the symbolic objects it contains, such as the rib, the apple, the mesh where the sculpture is located, as well as the face, it is not a perfect face, it is not white, He does not have European features, rather he is dark-skinned, and of a beauty that is far from the common prototype.
